Final Educational Module 3 to Be Delivered Across Partner Countries

In the upcoming month, all GUARD partner countries will deliver the final educational module – Module 3 – within their respective national systems. With this milestone, the GUARD training programme is slowly approaching its conclusion, marking the final step in a comprehensive and demanding educational journey for Child Safeguarding Officers across Europe.

Over the past months, consortium members have invested significant time and expertise in preparing the content of Module 3, followed by its careful translation into national languages. This effort ensures that the training remains fully accessible, context-sensitive, and practically applicable for participants in each country. The shared goal has been clear: to provide the highest quality and most useful educational experience for all attendees.

Building on the Success of Module 2

The announcement of Module 3 follows the great success of Educational Module 2, which took place in Zagreb, Croatia, and later in Vilnius, Lithuania. What proved particularly remarkable was the extensive number of participants who travelled internationally to attend the sessions.

This strong turnout demonstrated not only the dedication of the GUARD consortium, but also the growing recognition of the importance of safeguarding children in sport. The commitment shown by participants and partner organisations alike confirms that this sensitive topic is being addressed with the seriousness and responsibility it deserves.

Confirmed Dates for Module 3

Module 3 has now been fully drafted and translated into all partner languages. Several National Olympic Committees have already confirmed their delivery dates:

  • NOC Romania – 20 February
  • NOC Poland – 24 February
  • NOC Croatia – 26 February

Additional announcements from other partners will follow soon, as this period coincides with a particularly busy calendar due to their attendance at the Olympic Games.

A Collective Effort

The successful preparation of Module 3 is the result of extensive cooperation within the consortium. A sincere thank you goes to all members of the expert team who contributed to the drafting, development, and refinement of the training programme and its content.

As the GUARD project moves towards its final phase, the consortium continues to demonstrate strong commitment to building sustainable safeguarding structures within European sport systems — ensuring that children not only participate in sport, but do so in a safe, supportive, and empowering environment.

More updates will follow soon.
